Wild Child
- Format: Stereo
- Sound design: Complete sound design + foley
- Analog synth: Moog textures
- Deliverables: Mix print + stems
Project context
Wild Child is an animated short film (dir. Sif Lina Lambæk) that won the Robert Award for Short Film of the Year: Fiction/Animation 2025. I did sound design in collaboration with Mathias Savery, using analog Moog synthesis to support the film’s dystopian world with physical, electric texture.
Challenge
Designing sound for animation at the short film level demands a balance between stylistic boldness and narrative clarity. The sound needed to match energy without disrupting comprehension.
Approach
A hybrid track of foley, environments and synthetic textures. The analog layers act as character and world tone while foley and detail anchor movement, timing and proximity.
Result
Wild Child won the Robert Award for Short Film of the Year: Fiction/Animation 2025. The award recognises the film’s overall quality, where sound design is integral to the narrative whole.
